MicroTech Demonstrates Advanced Virtual Environment Solution at CA World 2013

MicroTech CEO Speaks About Agile Cloud Delivery

CA WORLD, LAS VEGAS, NV, April 23, 2013 – Leading services provider and technology integrator MicroTech will showcase their cloud automated advanced virtual environment at CA World 2013. The advanced virtual environment is a highly-customizable and scalable private cloud solution that combines the MicroTech MicroPodd® rugged, portable data center with various secure and automated CA technologies. The solution facilitates data center consolidation, physical and virtual resource management, existing application rationalization, migration, hosting, and disaster recovery. MicroTech will be displaying their solution at CA World 2013 (in booth 280), April 21 – 24 in Las Vegas.

“Our advanced virtual environment solution is easily customized for each client and can be continually built upon as the clients’ IT needs change; it provides the agility and portability small enterprises need to create cost-effective, secure, and scalable private cloud computing environments,” said Tony Jimenez, MicroTech President & CEO.

The NIST-compliant MicroPodd® combines CA’s AppLogic, an app-centric cloud platform, CA Nimsoft, CA Automation Suite for Clouds, CA ArcServe D2D, and components of CA CloudMinder. Through the use of CA’s Automation Suite for Cloud, users have the capability of automating the deployment of pre-defined operating environments in an efficient and time-effective manner without sacrificing security. Working with MyCroft, MicroTech has incorporated many of their pre-wrapped CA CloudMinder suite of security products into the advanced virtual environment to include CA SiteMinder and CA AuthMinder. The solution is designed for all three standard cloud delivery models: IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

In addition to Keynote Speaker Richard Branson, founder and chairman of Virgin Group, Jimenez spoke as part of the Tomorrow’s Technology Today: Trends, Alliance and Industry Solutions track on Monday April 22 at 2:30 p.m. Jimenez’ session was about agile cloud delivery, titled “Public, Private, Hybrid, and Now Modular. Cloud Strategies for Public and Private Sector.” He also participated on a partner panel at the event on Sunday.
