Department of Veterans Affairs

MicroTech provided software engineering, development, programming, licensing, assurance, updates, version and maintenance upgrades, and 24×7 technical support in a multi-application MS-based environment for desktops and mobile devices in more than 1,200 health care facilities including 168 VA Medical Centers and 1,053 outpatient sites of varying complexity (e.g., Veterans Health Administration [VHA] outpatient clinics), serving more than 8.9 million veterans each year. These services extended to 334,000 desktops and 20,000 mobile devices. This was the largest non-indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract ever awarded to a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) upon its award in 2012.

Office of Assistant to the Secretary of Defense (OASD) for Public Affairs (PA)

We provide IRM technical services and support to the OASD-PA on-site at the Pentagon for the OASD-PA network and related services. We support various users, and thousands of local and worldwide customers via our OASD-PA public-facing Web-based applications.

We provide application development, mission support service desk, network, system and database administration. All network, database, and application development operational support and integration solutions conform to Department of Defense (DOD) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification and accreditation (C&A) requirements.

Each year more than 100,000 people visit the Pentagon. Tours of the Pentagon are managed through our Java Web-based application, Pentagon Tours, that we developed and maintain. We created a public-facing site that the public can access for information and to book a tour through intuitive workflow.

Social Security Administration (SSA)

MicroTech provides Enterprise IT support to over 110,000 users, at 1800-plus sites globally, with over 200 onsite staff at the Baltimore, Md. campus.

Highlight

The MicroTech Voice Services Team (VST) is responsible for various communication services at the SSA, including audio conferencing, long distance calling card, toll-free long distance, and fax services. Currently these services are being transitioned across the government, from the FTS 2001 contract to the new Networx contract.

SSA has consistently been in the lead of all of the large government agencies in this transition. This is due to the award-winning teamwork and dedication the MicroTech team has shown in working to complete this goal.

Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Ginnie Mae

MicroTech staff provides project management, procurement, product fulfillment capabilities, and technology enhancement. They support Ginnie Mae in acquiring, licensing, and managing hardware, software, shared services, and maintenance support for hosted application service. Our enterprise architects work with Ginnie Mae stakeholders on technology refreshment. We evaluate installing technology, determine its capacity or capability to support the Ginnie Mae’s business needs, and define and recommend cost effective paths for new or updated technology.

General Services Administration (GSA)

MicroTech was responsible for the planning, launch and operation of Tier 1 and Help Desk support for the 2008 Presidential Elect White House and Executive Office Transition Team. Based on project deadlines, MicroTech had only 60 days to write SOPs / FAQs, hire and train qualified technical personnel, badge all staff members with HSPD-12 credentials, and develop procedures for issuing equipment and all other technical support functions.

Highlight

MicroTech supported the GSA FAS office in providing full spectrum facility and IT Help Desk services to more than 1200 personnel that made up the Presidential Transition team.

The MicroTech team faced many hurdles and firsts in support of this important FAS contract. This was the first time that advanced telecommunications technology like smartphones, notebook computers and wireless broadband access were involved in an executive office transition of power.
