MicroTech Raises Funds for Moustache Campaign

It’s December and MicroTech’s Movember campaign has come to a close. In the final tally, Team MicroTech raised over $4,000 for men’s health issues, with the last thousand raised in the concluding week of the campaign!

Movember combines the art of growing a moustache with the month of November. The worldwide fundraiser puts the spotlight on men's health issues by encouraging men to grow moustaches throughout the month. At the start, guys looking to help raise funds and awareness for men’s health shaved their facial hair clean.

During the growing and styling phase, they drew attention to their stash and used that popularity to advocate for men’s health issues, like prostate and testicular cancer and men’s mental health.

MicroTech’s MVP was undoubtedly Sr. Vice President of Technology Services and Solutions, Dave Coker, who used Social Media to share his ‘dog-stashes.’ His pooch lip liners really made a splash with his followers, raising $1,500 for the initiative.

Movember & Sons, the company in charge of the month-long fundraiser, is partnered with and raising funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LiveStrong. Since 2003, Movember participants have raised over $126 million for men’s health initiatives.

A big thank you to everyone who donated for men’s health research and to those who helped to promote this worthy cause!
