Garners ISO 20000-1:2011 Recertification

President & CEO of SRI, Quality System Registrar, Christopher Lake recently awarded MicroTech its recertification for its ISO /IEC 20000-1:2011 program. MicroTech obtained its initial ISO certification in 2011 and with the recertification the IT service management is now approved until July 2016.

This certification is a service-management system (SMS) standard based on specific requirements for the service provider to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain, and improve. The requirements include the ability to consistently design, transition, deliver, and improve services while possessing the capability to monitor, measure and review associated processes.

MicroTech President and CEO Tony Jimenez highlighted the efforts of the Director of Information Management (DoIM) team and the Quality Assurance department, “A tremendous amount of effort goes into our ISO program and these employees ensure our IT service management is efficiently and expeditiously delivered to our company and our clients.”

Preston Quick, MicroTech’s Chief Information Officer, emphasized the importance of IT credentials such as ISO 20000; “Certifications of this caliber are critical in differentiating our company from others in the technology industry—such an investment and achievement sends a clear message that MicroTech is a quality organization.”
