Vienna, VA - June 22, 2010 - MicroTech, a leading technology systems integrator, has been recognized by the Washington Business Journal as the number one privately held Corporate Philanthropist in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area and third on the overall list - side-by-side with business titans Lockheed Martin and Exxon Mobil. This is the fourth Corporate Philanthropist list MicroTech has been named to in the past year by the well-respected regional business publication. Other companies in the Top 10 included Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Northrop Grumman, and Marriott International.

One of America's fastest growing businesses, MicroTech has grown more-than-5000% in revenue since its launch in 2004. The company provides Technology Solutions, Systems Integration, and High-Definition Video Communications Design, Installation, and Implementation, specializing in government computing environments. MicroTech manages over half-a-million tech users in the Public Sector daily. From service branches to key civilian agencies, the company holds more-than-100 Prime Contracts and 20-plus contract vehicles, offering over 300,000 technology products and services across the government.

"We are deeply honored to be included on the Washington Business Journal Corporate Philanthropists list," said Tony Jimenez, President & CEO of MicroTech. "Our business strategy has always focused on actively participating and giving back to the community. I'm very proud of all the MicroTech employees who regularly volunteer, support charity events, and assist the less fortunate. To us, it's not only the right thing to do, helping others in the community is the only choice to make." Jimenez himself is a winner of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Corporate Business Advocate of the Year as an accomplished business and community leader.

MicroTech's strong support of the local community led to recognition in the 2010 Washington Business Journal Book of Lists - two Top 10 Corporate Philanthropy rankings based on charity giving and community involvement in Northern Virginia.

As an organization, MicroTech offers business guidance, financial support, and hands-on assistance to a variety of nonprofit and charitable organizations. The company is known for strong support of veteran's causes like the American Legion's "Heroes to Hometown" - a transition assistance program for severely wounded service members in the Global War on Terror; the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, having a hand in raising over $4 million for injured veterans; and the American Freedom Festival, raising funds and awareness for children of veterans killed in action in Afghanistan or Iraq.

In 2010, the company's dedicated support of military veterans led to hosting back-to-back events at Washington sports arenas, including sponsoring dozens of wounded patriots at a popular mixed martial arts event, and 400 local Armed Forces personnel at "Military Appreciation Night" during an NBA game.
