Vienna, VA, May 25, 2010 — MicroTech, a leading high-definition video communications provider and strong supporter of professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), is sponsoring the virtual likeness of six Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighters in the just-released UFC Undisputed 2010 video game, published by THQ. The MicroTech sponsored fighters include leading UFC contenders and former champions Forrest Griffin, Cain Velasquez, Mike Swick, Jon Fitch, Josh Koscheck, and Gray Maynard.
MicroTech has previously sponsored the athletes featured in "UFC Undisputed 2010" along with other fighters at major UFC shows including Josh Koscheck's recent victory at UFC 113 in Montreal, and at charity events like Military Appreciation Night and Fight for the Troops.
"We are very excited to again be a part of the 'UFC Undisputed' series," said Tony Jimenez, MicroTech President & CEO. "Quality products like THQ video games offer MicroTech additional brand exposure outside of traditional advertising channels. It's all part of our progressive strategy to break new ground and stay innovative in the technology realm."
MicroTech is an award-winning global provider of systems integration, technology solutions and video communications engineering, design, installation, and implementation, specializing in government computing environments.
In 2009, MicroTech sponsored the original edition of UFC Undisputed. The MicroTech logo was displayed throughout the game and on animated versions of Cain Velasquez, Josh Koscheck, and Forrest Griffin. "UFC Undisputed 2009" was a huge success, selling more than 3.5 million copies worldwide.
"I’m sure the 2010 edition of UFC Undisputed will continue to be very popular," Jimenez said. "And MicroTech will continue to align our rising corporate brand to the most successful fighting franchise in the world."
