Vienna, VA, October 1, 2007—MicroTech, a premier Information Technology (IT) and Network Support Services firm, today announced that it has been named the 2007 recipient of the distinguished Excellence in Partnership (EIP) Award for Most Successful Newcomer by the Coalition for Government Procurement. Criteria for nomination include the size of the company (i.e., number of employees), annual sales, percentage of growth of revenue in 2007 and projection for further growth.

The Most Successful Newcomer Award is one of only five awards given to industry partners each year. The award is conferred upon the new contractor that has had the most significant gain in its General Services Administration (GSA) schedule business and has made significant contributions to the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) program overall. MicroTech has been singled out among its peers for this achievement, with formal acknowledgment of this distinction to be recognized on November 8, 2007, at the EIP Awards Banquet at The Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City in Arlington, VA.

“Everyone here at MicroTech is honored to receive this award. In an increasingly competitive marketplace, this selection validates the dedication and innovation that MicroTech brings to its government clients and its partners,” says Tony Jimenez, President and CEO of MicroTech. “We are humbled and honored that many of our valued partners and customers took the time to nominate us for this award which we believe will serve as a catalyst for MicroTech’s continued growth and success.”

MicroTech’s success has been recognized with numerous industry awards. MicroTech was recently named one of the top 100 Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned businesses by Diversity Magazine, one of the Hispanic 500 by Hispanic Business Magazine, and in December 2006, CEO Anthony (Tony) Jimenez was named the Vetrepreneur of the Year by Veteran’s Business Journal. In addition MicroTech was selected as a US Army featured small business and recognized by the Department of Transportation as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Success Story.

MicroTech’s success is due in part to its diverse client base, exceptional customer relations, and ability to help clients maximize productivity, reduce total cost of ownership and minimize the risk associated with technology upgrades and systems modernization. Today, MicroTech has grown into a full service IT firm with over 100 people and revenues in the millions.
