Today, over 30 professionals from the Washington DC area met at MicroTech headquarters for MicroTech’s premier Advanced Virtual Environment Seminar sponsored by Cisco. The event included MicroTech specialists and an exceptional panel of subject matter experts from Cisco, EMC, and CA Technologies.

With almost every seat in the MicroTech Training Center filled, Tim Dioquino, MicroTech’s Senior VP of Infrastructure, Cloud & Mobility solutions, started the seminar with an overview of MicroTech and its position in the future of Cloud Computing. Alfredo Guzman, MicroTech’s Director of Emerging Technologies, then presented and demonstrated MicroTech’s Advanced Virtual Environment Solution, explaining its capabilities.

The MicroTech Advanced Virtual Environment was unveiled at EMC World 2012, in Las Vegas, NV. The game-changing cloud solution offers a high-performance, highly available and scalable, ready-to-activate private cloud. This technology solution combines the MicroTech next-generation MicroPodd™ portable data center with a CA AppLogic® turnkey cloud operating system, monitoring solution, Business Intelligence reporting tool, and identity and access management tools.

Industry speakers Shannon McMackin from Cisco, Nate Rushfin from CA Technologies, and Nick Chopra from EMC presented at the seminar and served as panelists. The vendor panel discussion was moderated by Roger Channing, MicroTech’s CTO and Senior VP of Innovation & Integration. Attendees were also offered an opportunity to tour MicroTech’s Innovation and Integration Center (I2C) at the conclusion of the event.
