Top technology integrator MicroTech received Finalist Honors last night at the SmartCEO Voltage Awards. The industry leading company was recognized among the top large Technology Innovators at The National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
The awards program gathered over 300 Greater Washington area executives whose technologies of the future positively impact the region’s economic growth. Along with being honored at the gala, MicroTech will also be profiled in SmartCEO’s May issue.
“It’s no secret that the evolution of technology is what drives business forward. These companies are pushing the limits of innovation – streamlining processes, finding efficiencies and discovering the next great product,” says Jaime Nespor, group publisher of SmartCEO, in the SmartCEO press release announcing the 2013 finalists. “Sharing their stories is a humbling experience as these companies are the catalysts for our region’s growth and prosperity,” she said.
MicroTech was recognized for its MicroKloud family of cloud solutions, specifically the MicroPodd which provides a complete cloud data center designed to easily transform physical machines into robust private cloud virtual environments.
A totally Green IT solution, the MicroPodd uses 85 percent less HVAC and 50 percent less power than the typical server. MicroPodds are also direct current powered, which significantly lowers total cost of ownership when compared to similar products.
In addition to the profile in SmartCEO, MicroTech was featured in the magazine’s video roundup of the finalists and winners. Check out Dr. Roger Channing, MicroTech’s Chief Technology Officer & Senior Vice President of Datacenter Solutions, in SmartCEO’s video profile.
