Jimenez meets Mexico’s Ambassador

MicroTech President & CEO Tony Jimenez is meeting today with Mexico’s Ambassador to the United States, the Honorable Eduardo Medina Mora. The Washington DC event is being hosted by former Defense Secretary William Cohen and will introduce a discussion between Ambassador Medina Mora and Ambassador Jeffrey Davidow, former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico. The discussion will focus on important issues including energy and other reforms in Mexico; security; prospects for increased trade and investment; and the upcoming High Level Economic Dialogue being attended by Vice President Biden.

Jimenez is part of a select group from the private sector, government, academia, and diplomatic community participating in this U.S.-Mexico relationship building forum.

Prior to his service in the U.S., Ambassador Medina Mora served as Mexico’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom. Previously, he held several cabinet-level positions in the Mexican federal government: Attorney General, Secretary for Public Security, and Director General of the Center for Investigation and National Security. Ambassador Medina Mora also has significant experience in the private sector, serving as a senior official of the DESC Group, a Mexican conglomerate in the fields of automotive parts, petrochemicals, agribusiness, and real estate. He also coordinated the legal advisory team to the Mexican government during the NAFTA negotiations.
